Aramex just dropped off my Archos 7 and it looks AMAZING. Will take a better shot of it later but I just took this quick one to show how much larger the screen is compared to my iPhone. This is going to make watching movies on the plane a lot better now!

I do not see any mention of support for DivX.
I dont think it plays divx files, unless they have some kinda third party plugin or hack.

I have the Archos 5 I got it as a graduation gift and honestly I know I’m not using most of it’s functions.
I use it to backup my files (love it for viewing my pictures) and surf the web. I was doing my research for the whole TV recording thing but I’m totally clueless I have no idea if its worth trying or it just simply won’t work here.
It plays Divx and Xvid files out of the box with no plugins. 720p HD files after a plugin. I got the 160GB version from Amazon. They sell Archos products in Kuwait but I didn’t even check for it here.
Q8 addicted: yeah that used to be true. you used to pay to get the browser, pay to be able to play the basic file formats. its still kinda true now except you get more out of the box then u used to. for example browser is included for free, xvid and divx playback is included for free etc…

This is a real bad product, just got one, don’t play no divx, bad apps and real bad support!!! do not buy this product, sorry Archos, called ya several times and no support was provided at all!!!!!!!
