i think pollyfill also works as a dampener, you don't want screws falling from your door 2 years from now :)
i don't know how big are your speakers, i used 16 gauge wires on mine (installed my system by myself)
finally, you don't need a battery, a capacitor works just fine. unless you are planning to fill the car with speakers and sub-woofers.

Tiesto, the pollyfill is not about protection, it helps improve the sound. You just stuff it behind the speaker like in this picture below

Mr System won't be installing the system for me, I will just be purchasing the RCA and Speaker cables from them. I won't be installing a battery My system is't going to be really powerful, its 40w x4 and 250w for the subwoofer. Its more sound quality then loudness.

that is cool, and thanks about the tip with the pollyfill, i bought a 500kd system that i didn't even know how to protect it! anyays can you post pics on how to place the pollyfill (i know seems like im a noob)

make sure mr. system places good filters and good cables, they do play part in the quality, are you going to place a battery? coz they really help in keeping the power in your car stable, trust me you don't want a disco going on with your car lights...

anyways good luck!:)
