Steps to scratching you cornea:

1) go to the beach
2) get sand in your eye
3) proceed to rub your eyes violently
4) there is no step 4

How does a scratched cornea feel like? it feels like there is something in your eye still but there is nothing there. you wont be able to open your eyes for long and if you do they start tearing. your eye also becomes extremely sensitive to light.
