i really liked this movies , i watched it few dayz ago twice! though sum parts were kinda sad and made me wonder if stuff like that really happen to kidz in india ! but overall the movie was really gr8

Message for DJ Hams..

It’s just your luck that you are well placed now in Kuwait. There are so many locals and foreigners in India making a hell lot of money and enjoying their lives much more than what we Arabs enjoy here.

I was on a short visit to Chennai and Mumbai and experienced a lot. Even the middle class in Mumbai work with their full potential and lead a luxorious life . While in Chennai , parents are very keen on their child’s education . They make sure their kid gets the best educ. before spending on anything else. Back to Mumbai , poverty exists . There are areas in Mumbai where ppl dont get 2 square meals a day .

Every place in the world has its own advantages and disadvantages . In fact , you could have been leading a more comfortable life if you were worked for an MNC in mumbai .

Do not comment without knowing the facts .I’m coming to the same point again , every country has its own advantages and disadvantages . The economic development of the country is what i appreciate .

Though i am an arab and not an indian , i constantly keep myself updated about india and i enjoy to go there.

DJ Hams…why dont you visit Mumbai once ?
After all …you are leading a very comfortable(“better life”) in Kuwait . So, a 2-way trip to India on Emirates would be child’s play…ain’t it ?

Slumdog is a movie made by Danny Boyle showing a guy who lives in the slums and goes on to win 20 million… It shows about his life experiences and not what India is.
If tomorrow someone makes a movie on bedouins or about some places in US .. Would that give us a complete picture of Kuwait or US? The answer is NO.
Similarly, India is not confined to slums or the living conditions you see in the movie. Its much more than that. And the world should know this.

There is more to India than what is shown in the movie…. India is not equal to slums….
there is poverty and poor people everywhere in the world including kuwait. What do you have to say about the bedouins in Kuwait.. who are unjustly treated in their own country by fellow kuwaitis and live in similar conditions….
Its good that you feel lucky living a good life in Kuwait… but that doesn’t mean that you stereotype India by what you see. Get your facts right and then comment..

Slumdog is good. But Taare zameen par in hindi is better. The former is a brown story and movie made for white guys (Not being racist). Indians have seen similar movies many times but the sensibilties does not appeal to westerners. But no doubt its a great movie.

This movie is doing wonders.! In India, though the movie is not yet released(Jan 23 release) , the media is focussing on this only.

A.R.Rahman – India’s ‘God’ of Music is being awarded for its music and the singer of the album is also rejoicing.

It has swept the Golden Globe Awards for Best Movie, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Original Score……It was nominated only in these categories.
