Video Blogging
I was thinking today, maybe I should start video blogging. I have a miniDV cam, there is YouTube and I already have a blog so its very easy to just start adding video blogs here. The thing is though, what can I video blog about? Anyone got any ideas? Anyone outside Kuwait who wants to see a video of a certain place here? Should I do a documentary on something related to Kuwait? How about videos of popular places in Kuwait like Kuwait Towers, Zoo, Entertainment City? What would you guys find interesting?

Hmm, you have the national holidays. I was surprised that people like to celebrate/dance on the street. But not everyone celebrates that way, so you’re gonna wanna see if you can get in on how other people celebrate too. It’d be interesting to see, especially for an outsider.

Im thinking about doing a couple of video blogs about riding. Some real good clips, and adding music, the problem is doing the right type of video editing.
In your case it has to involve apple. And shops in and around Kuwait. Something just going around town, but also make them parts so that its easy to watch!

How about starting off with a vedioblog of what you are getting Nat for your 2nd year anniversary? like when you started off with Miskan! ;)

well just go through your own blog/forums. what ever topics generated a lot of posts….maybe you can videoblog about the same.
i would like to see a video about Kuwait and Kuwaity people from an eye of a non Kuwaiti people.. i’ve always wondered how you think of Kuwait and how do you see it.

mm i totally agree with marzoug ..why dont u film the things you review such as resturents and most importantly old salmiya which you talked about a while ago..as am sure in the next 10 years it will all be part of history :(

You need videos of wreckless ATVs, bikes, drag races and all the crazy stuff that happens on the road that cannot happen in any other civilized country.
A day at Kubbar during the summer, showing how extreme things can get.
Basically everything that happens in Kuwait and only Kuwait. As for sites, maybe some offroading in Mutla3 Ridge area.
this isn’t such a good idea, it’s too time consuming so updates will be slow. also there isn’t that much shit in kwt to tape esp if you can’t even put ppl’s faces in it.

Sounds great that your thinking about creating a video blog. I’ve got an idea that isn’t exciting at a first glance but definetly something worth doing. Many people here in Kuwait are overweight and/or obese. This is strikingly obvious where ever you walk in public. Malls, restraunts, recreational areas, streets you name it.
I therefore suggest to make or create a video about how people are so overweight. Include why they are large, what are the factors leading to an unhealthy lifestyle (example – not enough outdoor activities geared for the youth of Kuwait, sedentary life style, bad diet etc). Maybe video taping people in public, on the spot and getting their feedback.
Well whatever theme you choose the video blog to be good luck!
I was considering doing that myself. However, I’m planning to get started sometime around January.
Just do it randomly.. so that it isnt like timed episodes.. just something popping into your head.. and some editing on your apple and booom! You got a nice full featured movie!
Yo mark i don’t think this will work real good cuz kuwait is real small n ur gonna run out of places to video bolg about. N u know how insecure the ppl r here. If u happen to record a couple takin a walk along the beach u just might get beat up or sumthin even before u could explain wat ur doing. So if u do have to do this u’v gotta b really really careful.
or u could ask ur users to send in clips of watever they find interesting around Kuwait.
like u have users from all types of nationalities here so that way u can get different views and perspectives from different ppl about Kuwait. It’ll be like a multicultural thing.
Why don’t you film all the traffic going in and out of the British and American Embassies? I bet at the end of the day you would have some really exciting footage.

“Video blogg” yeah i realy like this.what about mountin the DVCam in your car/bike….whatever and show us the way to your work place/and the way FROM work place,then put the project right into your MAC (imove,FCE…) and make it a bit faster “speedmotion on it” then boooooom we can see how nice q8 realllllllly is . good luck man and as i said nice site nice ppl here ;)
