What I am craving
Currently I am craving a Land Rover Defender. I found a website of this guy who bought a 1991 white defender and then fixed it up nicely. I want to do the same thing, I found a Defender on Q8car.com selling for like KD2,500. I am sure the price is negotiable and I am also sure I can find even cheaper Defenders elsewhere if I look. What I feel like doing is buying one and then just spending time on it. My biggest obstacle of course is Nat, she really really hates the Defender. update: just found out from a friend that his friend just bought the white Defender last week for KD1,750!

the new defender starts from 13,000 kd
i like the 2dr version,ut it’s a diesel and 120HP only.. not like the Mercedes G-Class (the 55 AMG) now that’s a real beast!!

last time i checked the 4 door defender starts like KD13,000 but the 2 door like around KD8,000

Had a 4-door 91 defender as a chalet car for towing boats, etc. tough car though you really dont wanna be driving it on the streets (sucks big time). make sure you test-drive one around for a bit before investing.

Its rough on the streets, its meant to handle anything but at the cost of comfort! I love that beast too! But it all depends what you want to get from it!

i had a 4 door (pickup) defender model 1986 the car is great and there is only 2 in kuwait i think

Mark, I have been looking at doing this for the past year, and like you my obstacle is my other half.
Go for it… trust me and if its because you like the same things about it as i do…
1) hand made car (Aston Martin eat your heart out!)
2) box light shape
3) masculine front (ever seen one in the rear view mirror - it looks like it means business…)
