Adobe Lightroom
The photography software Adobe Lightroom beta is out and I downloaded and played around with it for a bit now and it seems cool. The installation file is like only 4MB and the system requirements needed to run are very acceptable. Unlike Aperture, Adobe Lightroom not only runs on my G5 at work but will also run on my older G4 at home. Seems like Adobe really wants to kick Apple’s ass. [Link]
Note: The beta is currently available only for Macs.

Dear mark,
Thanks for the link.
I have always found that apple programs are bloated… they don’t bother trying to optimize the speed. They run great on their latest processors but are slow on much older ones.. Have you seen how iPhoto progressovely gets slower on your mac as newer versions are released.

with apreture i wish it ran on their latest processors alone, i mean it doesnt work on my dual G5 at work!
I haven’t used iPhoto in ages becuase when I was on my G4 733mhz chip it was really slow. Since I upgraded I don’t recall using iphoto again..
