Bought this camera yesterday. 2 large dust particles in lens ruin every shot. Would be easy to touch up in Lightroom, but they are so big it just doenst look right. Right of of the box. I’ve had plenty of other point and shoots. Never had a problem. Must be a design flaw. I really want to like this camera. I guess I will exchange and try another.
Then as far as keeping it in my shirt pocket…would prob need to keep in a ziploc sandwich bag. Might as well stick with a DSLR if I want to look that geeky taking photos in public.

Thank you for your review. There aren’t many out there! I’ve just ordered my W300 on Amazon, and can’t wait for it to arrive. I take food photos for my blog, mostly in restaurants, and it sounds ideal for me (maybe more than I need, but who cares!). I’ve been using my Sony Ericsson K800i Cybershot all this time, but have decided it’s finally time to upgrade and take some better quality photos…

i use to have a Sony 12.1, but sadly i lost it, anyways i was just asking if it is worth buying, because im a person who likes to just take it out and take a quick shot. the real question is, does it take fast and clear pictures.

I like the Cannon SD 850 and the W300 Sony and I think both cams are just great; since you have both which one would you really recommend.

The cam is for my wife so its for someone who likes to take shoots from time to time.

You must have this if you ever want to take pics when riding your bike with the group. I have the Canon SD850 and it has great stabilty got it just for biking.

haven’t tried it with moving objects yet but i did try the stabilization, its my first camera that has such a thing and for someone who has shaky hands like me its really a great feature. I was talking pictures at 1/15 and they were coming out sharp as if i was shooting at 1/30 or 1/60

Mark in general I agree with! I am the worse buyer.. I always buy things at a higher price cause I dont know how to wait! But I am sure for those who like to hunt prices, the Web is full of good deals.

UncleBenz the link you gave me is only camera without tripod, cleaning kit, leather case etc.. but even then I would rather pay a bit more and get it from amazon instead of ebay. Keep in mind with this ebay seller if you use paypal he will only ship to your paypal confirmed address which would be Kuwait.
