Great deal: Canon A530

A530

I own this camera, I purchased it I think around 2 months ago for like $170 and its now selling for $132. Its really a great camera and I lug it around everywhere I go. My Nikon D70 is too big and doesn’t fit in my laptop bag while the Canon A530 is very compact and can even record videos at a resolution of 640×480. If you are looking for a good portable cam and a really good deal then this is a good camera to get. Check it out on Amazon. [Link]

What about the Canon A540? What do you think of that? Is it as good as the 530? Better?

  7. 7. Mark | October 14th, 2006 at 6:43 pm

its better then the 530 because it has a larger screen but its also 40$ more expensive.

Very Good Deal, but they gave it Bad reviews for indoor pics Takeing! i was thinking of buying the Canon IXUS 800 IS ( SD700 IS in the US ) but its expensive…180KD in kuwait !! But this one is around 45KD…can’t Beat that offer

    the A530 is like 38KD
in my experience unless u are willing to pay big bucks for a camera u will have difficulty shooting indoors.
whats cool about the 530 and made me get it is because it has full manual controls which is nearly impossible to find in a camera at this price.

Laziale, there are’nt any point & shoot cameras that do well in indoor conditions. All cameras that have a dinky built-in flash will suffer from red-eye, over/under exposure. You need a camera with a dedicated flash to get good indoor pictures.

mark, i dont want a difficult camera. Im gonna use it for everyday shots. I like to take pics of things i find interesting while driving around. So an easy use camera with very good picture quality will do. Do u recommend any Sony camera ? I dont mind the price as long as its no TOO expensive..

Well this camera I am using it for the exact same purpose you described. Of course for more money you can get cooler cams. Check out the Canon S3 its pretty nice and feels great in the hand.
