Konica Auto S3
I don’t know whats up with me and photography lately. Just purchased another camera, this time a Konica Auto S3 from the late 70’s. I found one in mint condition on eBay and it cost me around KD60. Its got a very fast and sharp 38mm f/1.7 lens and I think it one of the best looking compact rangefinders ever. Speaking of film, Ashraf and Boushahri both don’t carry any decent film and neither do they sell slide film. Kodak no longer even processes slide film while Boushahri luckily still does. This means I’ve got to buy my favorite film (Fuji Velvia 50) from Amazon or wherever I travel to.

Speaking of slide film.. it has to be developed with E6 but I since I couldn’t find a place that develops with E6, I asked them to develop it with C41 and the results turned out good. There was a shift in colour, but I’m not sure if it was from the lens or the chemicals.
The place I go to is called Foto Gulf (or Photo Gulf) in Al-Murgab and they still develop with BW chemicals (the old way).
I’m going there today to get my developed films (120 BW + 120 BW C41 + 35 BW C41), and they did a good job I’ll post more info on my blog.

There is a store here in Salmiya who sells some chrome / slide film as well as 120 films. The sad part is that i was already expired and the fact i am looking as well for an expired films. Boushahri Develop on E-6 for KD2 and if you want it to be on C-41, they can do it for Half Dinnar, as what they called it Cross Process or Xpro in flickr.
I will go to that place Foto Gulf to check if they could do a contact print for my films from my Holga. Can you please post their contact numbers.
Congratulations on your new Konica Auto S3, i will see if i could find any of those in Harajs Friday Market to add in my collection.
Any body used Lomo’s here?
