Pictures from first day of shoot

I just got back to the hotel room, its 6:30 in the morning. We were out shooting since 2 in the afternoon and it lasted all through the night up until the break of dawn. I am extremely exhausted but I wanted to upload a few pictures of the shoot before I went to sleep. There were over 100 people on the set today so it was really packed. This was the first day of a three day shoot. Check out the pictures by clicking the link below.

if this is supposed to be an egyptian taxi then you got the plates wrong…right color but its more of a rectangular plate not like that

Just out of curiousity…Wouldn’t it actually be cheaper to film the Egypt scenes in..well..Egypt? The production costs there have got to be much lower than in Beirut, no?

I agree with you talal , besides its gonna be more authentic atleast they’ll have the taxies readly available and with the correct plates. On the other hands, producution in lebanon are sometimes much more better than in egypt,so i guess in lebanon they have less risks

Well the Egypt scene is just a small part of the final ad so moving the whole shoot to Egypt for 1 scene would be too costly and overkill. When I take pictures tomorrow and the day after you will see how different the other scenes look like. Its going to turn out really cool.

The license plate of the cab won’t be showing in the final cut so thats why it wasn’t fixed.

Production quality in Lebanon is among the best in the region…and the value for money is unbeatable. A shoot in Dubai is always around $40-50,000 more expensive than in Beirut…and in Europe…forget about it!

i also hope the phoenician statue behind the egyptian dancer won’t be in the final cut.

    *sigh* i miss jbeil…
