What I want for Christmas
A HPI Baja 5B… [YouTube]
Update: I called Extreme Hobbies, they HPI Baja dealers to see how much they would sell me the buggy but they ended up selling their last piece today. Jassim from Blushberry even passed by to get one but they told him we’ve got to wait till they get a new shipment next month. Sucks.

WOW I liked it!
How much does it cost in Kuwait?
Where can I find it?
Is it easy to control?
5. Mark | November 1st, 2009 at 12:10 am
KD300 at Extreme Hobby. Not sure how easy it is to control, I would just make sure you have a lot of room.

FYI you can get a copy of the same at a much lower price with more options, and they are selling faster.
FYI the 5T is better performing then the 5B, I tried both the 5T outclasses out handles and out performs the 5B, and you get the BAJA look and feel as it goes by you…..
Give Gary a call you might be in luck with the 5B copy we may still have one in stock.

What I want for X’mas most of all this year is for Kuwait to be more like Dubai / Abu Dhabi : dynamic, vibrant and more cosmopolitan in appeal.
Actually, I was thinking more New York, London and Hong Kong but I guess, it will have to wait another year. Perhaps, on my Christmas wishlist for 2020.

Hi Mark.
I got the SS model last summer, which is stronger, for the fun of building it. I used it once only (way too loud and powerful). Its sitting there since then. If you’re interested let me know.
It’s too loud, and don’t say I didn’t warn you :)

Mark its available in Dubai i just checked .. there is a store called Hobby Home .. http://www.hobbyhome-rc.com/ they have the Baja 5b SS !!! and i called a friend there who knows about R/c cars he said that it costs around 310 KD which is much much cheaper than Kuwait !! this is the SS version !
24. Mark | November 2nd, 2009 at 12:00 am
The regular RTR version costs KD300 here. The SS is cheaper than the regular version but you need to put it together yourself, get the servos, receiver and controller which makes it more expensive than the RTR.
25. blushberry | November 2nd, 2009 at 12:20 am
Hmmmmm .. Well he told me its ready to run .. ill give him a call tomorrow .. or i might get the 5T its not bad though .. the 5b looks better but in performance 5t is better with a bigger engine .. but a bit expensive .. 380 KD .. maybe 360 after discount
26. Mark | November 2nd, 2009 at 12:23 am
The HPI Racing website says the SS comes only as a kit. Just wait for the 5b next month, it looks a lot cooler than the 5t.
Anyway check this out, there is a 5b 2.0! Maybe thats the one they will get next month? http://www.hpiracing.com/kitinfo/10629/

Did you check out traxxas rc’s? They have got plenty of nitro and electric cars you should take a look at them. http://www.traxxas.com/products/trx_nitro.htm
Bought a revo 3.3 (model 5309 nitro) for 200 KD which was a good bargain compared to their prices in the states and it can go up to 45 mph. You don’t need to paint it or anything. Please check the link!
28. Mark | November 2nd, 2009 at 1:05 am
Traxxas have a lot of cool shit but the Baja is 1/5 scale, its huge!
29. Nawaf | November 2nd, 2009 at 1:27 am
Take my advise the 5T is better it handles the rough terrain much better and rides clear on the jumps without problems.
The clone is identical but has all the upgrades on the kit and at the same price. FYI they are all from the same OEM supplier your only paying for the packing instructions and manual HPI.
Performance wise they are identical just that ones has all the upgrades on them.
30. blushberry | November 2nd, 2009 at 2:51 am
Who’s the dealer of Traxxas in kuwait ?
31. The Pi | November 2nd, 2009 at 7:33 am
i think its time for u to get into planes yo …
32. Mark | November 2nd, 2009 at 8:23 am
i don’t like how the 5t looks like, i prefer the 5b buggy look.
blushberry: i know the toy store in the food court in marina mall sell traxxas but they’re over priced. I also think Extreme Hobby sell them. Just be patient until next month. It won’t be fun if I am the only one with a 1/5 scale car.
33. Ahmed | November 2nd, 2009 at 12:21 pm
I still didn’t test drive my traxxas revo I wanna try it out but didn’t get the chance to! I will keep you posted when I do.
Mark, how big is the the baja?
34. Mark | November 2nd, 2009 at 12:46 pm
