Apple Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

Leopard

So the new Max OS is available to pre-order from Amazon.com for $109. I placed my order but I wish they had it available as a download on the first day of release. Kinda like the Radiohead album. Actually, like the Radiohead album, it would also be cool if we could decide on the price ourselves, I would have paid $50 instead of $109. [Amazon Link]

man.. shouldn’t you wait for the different softwares like Adobe to release updates that support the new OS..

No company needs to update their software. Everything that works in 10.4 should work in 10.5. Its not like the OS9 to OS10 move.

im not sure about the updating issue, i think some of the applications need updates for the leopard due to the 64 bit support in leopard,

where is my academic discount rate for leopard ??
    i guess they changed it

DJ X Fader.. I was hoping for $69 academic price just like Tiger. It sucks that Leopard academic discount is only 10%. By the way, there is no difference between Single License and Family License (except that you have a statement in your agreement saying that you can install it on up to 5 computers). Apple don’t ask for a serial number or authorization (only registration).

So lets see, if I buy the single version its a total loss as we have 2 other macs at home plus a friend who i know isint really into leopard but im gonna force him to use it.

Family pack is a great choice i guess.

I might buy a new mac ” iMac ” so Leopard comes with it anyway.
