eBay with PayPal

Ever since PayPal started working with Kuwait based credit cards I haven’t really used it even though I signed up for it and everything… until now that is. I just purchased an item from eBay and I paid using PayPal for the first time and the process was incredibly easy. Before when I used to buy stuff from eBay I had to go through the hassle of sending a money order to the seller. Now payment is instant using my credit card, it felt as if I was buying something from Amazon. Hopefully I won’t start buying random junk from eBay.. [Link]

PayPal is nice, I have been using it since 2002. The last time I used paypal was a few days ago to sell my iPhone. You can verify an account in Kuwait but you can confirm your address. Verified mean that you have a working credit card or bank account on file.

Your PayPal account is Verified
You are now a Verified PayPal user. In addition to increased security, buyers and sellers value your Verified status because it indicates you have passed PayPal security checks.
Your member status is: Verified
This means that you have linked and confirmed your card and can send an unlimited amount of money with your PayPal account.

Sorry, you cannot confirm an address in Kuwait. Currently, only US and UK addresses can be confirmed. Some ebay sellers don’t sell to unconfirmed address.

I verified my Visa and all.. but i still got a limited account where i can’t send or receive money cuz i need to provide a utility bill :\

16. Mark | July 1st, 2008 at 1:22 am
actually my address is confirmed, thats why i had to scan my zain bill with my address on it and also my nbk visa bill, they asked me to scan them stuff which have my address on it.

Mark,
That’s good news. When I tried confirming my address in Kuwait they said only UK and US. I already have my US address confirmed years ago. I might try confirming my Kuwaiti address when I come back to Kuwait after few years :)

I remember calling NBK a few months back to find out what address I had on my Credit Card. They said its “House 00, Street 0, Block 0″ lol. I wonder if this would work with paypal.

Some ebay sellers will send to unconfirmed address but you have to be verified.. its the only way that works!

Yeah. I got mine verified some time back when Paypal “allowed” customers from Kuwait to become members.
Now I mostly use it for paying the skype bills which is hassle free because skype is owned by eBay, and PayPal is also owned by eBay.

love2bnice:
Samething happened with me. I linked my credit card last week with paypal and they requested a utility bill to take the limitation off my account. I called their customer service and informed them that I don’t receive bills on my home address and it’s very difficult for me to provide an actual bill as a proof of address. They took the limitation off my account instantly and I got verified.

I have paypal account lond time ago.. they really sucks !!
they have so much limitation.. they call it scurity i call it Bull S**t..
so small amount under 100$ there wont be a proble.. but buying a laptop, or an iphone I a problem, paypal will freeze your payment, and they will require lots and lots of personal info that prove that your the one bought the laptop from ebay.. it happen for me 3 times that my account was frozen,, If you dont believe me check out this site:

I’ve been using Paypal frequently and I love it. in order to use Paypal you have to link your visa card to your Paypal account by verifying your visa card. Paypal will charge your visa randomly. After two days you have to check your bank statement under Paypal transaction where you can find 4 digit numbers. all what you have to do is to enter those numbers into your Paypal account. at this point your account will be verified and ready to be used.

A little trick to get the 4 digit number quicker. As soon as paypal charges your visa, call your bank and ask about the paypal transaction that just happened.Ask them for the 4 digit number. They will provide it to you and you can get your account verified instantly without the 2 days wait :) Tried it myself.
