That’s probably the HD-DVD format last breath!

They have not reduced the price. It was a “gold box” deal, which means it was available for just 1 day.
Regardless of the fact that the format is doomed, 6 HD-DVD movies (1 in the box, plus 5 by mail) plus a HD-DVD player for $80 was a superb deal.

Its sad HD-DVD is dying. It was inherently easier to pirate than Blu-Ray because of no region coding.
