beats headphones are shit its a marketing scheme getting all the biggish artists in the pop genre to advertise them in songs, videos and even make there own edition, if you are looking for good headphones, as a dj, and producer I recommend sennheiser hd205′s, the sound is crystal clear, amazing isolation and look better then most the sennheiser range, other then that the pioneer 500 range are amazing, these are designed for more public use then djing but offer a nice crisp sound.

I love the talks above saying dj’s dont need a good quality headphone, although this is true in most cases its not always, some djs just need bass in there phones so they can beat match, others like me for instance like to use them for pretty much everything, I rarely take mine off I pre cue songs then also mix with them on, this allows me to keep my hearing and only listen at a low volume.

the beats break easy look them up on youtube, they are not a dj headphone nor that great for audio

You’re nuts, it’s a marketing gimmick….sure, they look pretty nice but there are way better headphones on the market for less.

not very expensive if your a music fan, and beats studio sound and bass is epic.

Ive Listened to these headphones and they hit so nice and sound so dam good its incredible and stop reading all the 400 dollar websites u can go to bestbuy and pick them up for 99-300 and there on sale there like all the time. there better then bose and the Pioneers . So Big Ups to Dre for perfecting one of his tools of his craft.

Haven’t tried them either but one thing you got to keep in mind is that with $300 headphones you most very probably need a portable amp to run them. the beats have a built in amp that run on 2 AAA batteries.

Well, I wasnt really comparing any specific grados, since i dont really know a lot about them. just wanted to know if spending $300 on grados would be better than spending the same on the beats. but if grados lack bass, then its beats for me.

What about the sennheisers i mentioned? ive read a lot of good reviews about them, and sennheiser 595 is a lot cheaper as well.
and about the beats; any idea how much they cost here? i ask because electronics generally tend to be more expensive here than in the US.

Which Grados are you comparing to? I haven’t tried the grados but from what i read, they mostly lack bass but are pretty accurate. The Beats are not very accurate but more fun to listen to.

is there anyone who can tell me wether any Grados (in the same price range) are really better than the beats? ive tried the beats on and theyre awesome, but ive also heard that Grado headphones are good aswell.

also if anyone could tell me wether the sennheiser 595s or 600s are as good (or better) than the beats? (i know that the sennheisers are cheaper, but do they actually sound better?)

Picked up these headphones. They are pretty awesome definitely comparable to 1000′s without question. Mind you, my girlfriend works @ future shop so I got a $120 discount. Very good seperation, comfort and quality.

Try the beats out at a local best-buy, they are amazing headphones though, i’m hoping to get a pair.

These drephones are the best headphones I’ve ever used. I got the drephones like 2 weeks ago and it’s like being in the studio. Drephones allow me to hear all of these new sounds. I can almost hear Lil’ Wayne zip up his fly in the bathroom while Baby records his verse. Unreal. GO DREPHONES!
