Really innovative.. well thought of.. well done…
It would not have been easy to interface a compass module with the electro-phosphor wires…
Maybe a design with the glow only at the sides or at a small space on the front would be enough. But obviously, the one above is only a show piece and not a commercial product. So, the designer probably took the freedom to illuminate the whole mat. Im sure, as a commercial product, there would be lesser glowing wires.

By the way, Post #26, I assume that you have done your thorough research and that you hold legitimacy to discard a thing off as ‘Haram’… because even when the greatest of scholars pronounce something as ‘Haram’, they do so with great care and knowledge, let alone the years of toiling that goes into making them scholars.
