iPod SmartDeck

I don’t know how I missed this, maybe because at first glance the tape adapter looks like a regular tape adapter. But, when you read on you realize that this is not regular by any means. The Griffin Technology tape adapter actually allows you to control your ipod using your cars tape deck! Someone told me about this 5 minutes ago and I was like no way, then I checked out the site and turns out its true. This means we can ditch the crappy iTrip and finally get some decent sound. The SmartDeck is coming out soon and you can preorder it now for only $29.99 [Link]

Be careful. Many new car models don’t offer a cassette/tape deck anymore.

yeah i know, but nats jeep has a tape player. i got a cheap tape adapter but the player wouldnt read it, i heard the better expensive tape adapters would work, so i am hoping the smartdeck is one of the tape adapters that would end up working. KD10 is not that much of a risk.. worst case will sell it to someone a work :)

hehe yea. But make sure to check for a tape deck if you get a new car or something. I don’t know why alot of cars are ditching tape decks though..
I got my adaptor from Virgin for about 5.500 Kd.
Works fine.
