Typical for this time of the year. They need to kill the tourist
season just like they did for the past 2-3 years. As usual a load of hot air that will pass without major incident. Lebanon is sadly even more predictable than Kuwait.

What a bummer. Lebanon is such an unpredictable adventure, and not in a good way. I guess, worse comes to worst, you can always hire a taxi to Damascus then fly from there. Take care.

A country with armed politic parties ( militias ) = unstable, unsecured

Here in Kuwait we had problems between ministry of interior and some Qaba’els , and they showed how they will stick to the Qabela gang if it came to the edge . But still , they are Kuwaitis WHO Love there country AND DON’T take orders from forging country !

And yeah , they don’t have a flag or Master of there own ( country inside country ) !

What a difference a week makes. Glad I visited last weekend.

But it did seem a bit of a security risk to have the airport in a Hezbollah area. Proof positive now. Maybe a good long-term strategy to build a new airport in a safer neighbourhood.

Nothing is wrong with Lebanon, it’s kind of a norm over there to have such fights -.-” Should be resolved sooner or later because no one there wants a civil war (no matter what any of you will say)… And when it’s all over, all no worries, all the nightclubs and bars will be open ^__^

Don’t you just love how something to do with Lebanon and ONLY Lebanon automatically drags half of the world in with it? I mean seriously, we’re like a tiny speck in this world… What does Iran, Syria, America, Saudi Arabia, [Insert Country name] have to do with us?

Instead of countries focusing on Lebanon and it’s problems, why don’t they just focus on their own problems? -.-”

the government is considering to open rene mouawad (kleyate) military airport for civil-airliners, after hizbillah and co militia blocked the roads to BIA, the rioting mobs attacked police officers, civilians, military personals and attacking pro-government strongholds.

Its all messed up what does closing the roads and instigating fights, looting and just being plain hooligans contribute politically?! I hope they wake up and realize that they are just being used (and abused) to exercise some form of presence and pressure before Syria signs a deal with Israel, and Hizballah gets pushed to the back burner and is forgoten by its close Big Brother

Definitely definitely a message to all arab! ALL ARABS BEWARE! You may not VACATION in Lebanon. And therefore the country might lead itself to civil war just so the Arabs don’t vacation in Lebanon and stay safe. Definitely makes alot of sense. Thank you Mohammed. Have you ever been to Iran? I heard Fayrouz was stuck in the airport yesterday when it closed down :P
If all fails, they’ll probably open up that airport up north, Rene Mouawad Airport or something…
