Faraya

Faraya

I was just loading up some pictures into iPhoto when I found these two shots. I took these two pictures up in Faraya, Lebanon on December 31st around 4PM. The weather was freezing cold at around -2 degrees. The ski slopes were also open and if I had known I might have gotten up there earlier in the day to do a bit of skiing.

In my opinion its still not as cold as Kuwait in the desert! It wasn’t just the cold, it was the cold desert wind, we were freezing our butts off! hehehe

Artificial snow generators, much like the ones in Dubai’s snowdome will do the trick; it won’t feel like the real stuff, but it’s better than nothing. Damn those pictures remind me of how I miss snowboarding, it’s just not snowing in Toronto like it used to last year because of a tiny thing called “Global Warming”. I guess dooms day is finally approaching.
