   Hell yeah!!

   One of the finest 2D games in the history. It took me literally a month to find every single item and upgrade and achieve 100% completion. The ending was quite shocking in terms of 16-bit games. Please tell me that you do realize that the armor-suited person is a woman named Samus Aran? You’ll be surprised how many people don’t know that fact.

   The Prime series is also something you might want to invest your time with. Definitely the best First Person Adventure (not shooter) in the market.

   *sigh*

   I really loved my Super Nintendo. Final Fantasy IV, Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past, Super Mario World, Chrono Trigger, Legend of Mana, Contra, Super Castlevania, etc. All high quality games and definitely one of the best videogaming era…

   I bought the GameCube just for Metroid Prime. Its actually the only gamecube game I have lol. You need to play the two metroid games on the gameboy advance. They are exactly same style as Super Metroid. I prefer side scrolling to first person, makes life a lot simpler. I am now replaying super Metroid for like the millionth time on the Wii. Its also the only game I have on the Wii now. Once I am done I am going to get the NES version of Zelda. I remember staying up till morning playing that game back in the day.

   I used to like castlevania a lot, starting with symphony of the night to the two gameboy advance games. but they aren’t as fast paced at metroid.

   try castlevania games if you really dig metroid , tro SotN and the 2 ds games of it.

   i was replying to your “try castlevania comment”.
   I’ve played dawn of sorrow but it wasn’t as memorable as SotN for example. SotN is like Super Metroid… a classic.

   ahhh… i c . but u know , there r plenty of 2d games luring nowadays like the remake of “legend of kage” on the ds . also , if you want something of old school.. try batman on nes. BTW, did you know there’s castlevania “arcade”?

    LOL, you don’t have to tell me Mark. I’ve already played both Zero Mission and Fusion long ago. Thankfully, Zero Mission is a remake of the original Metroid, so I didn’t need to play the NES version. I’ve also played Prime Hunters, which turned out to be a decent game after you manage to practice with the stylus control for a bit. The only Metroid that I didn’t play is Metroid II: Return of Samus on the GameBoy. Although, rumor has it that a remake of the game is already in the making so let’s keep our fingers crossed.

    Speaking of Symphony of the Night, two weeks ago I finished the game (for like 4th time) on my PSP. I asked my brother to buy the game from the Playstation Network from his PS3 and then transfer the game to my PSP. Obviously, I finish it completely by visiting the castle one more time when you flip it upside down. You might already know that but there is an upcoming 2D Castlevania game coming to the NDS called Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. It looks quite promising.

    Have fun replaying the original Zelda. It’s was quite challenging I’ve to say, but Link to the Past is still my favorite “classic view” Zelda. Ocarina of Time is definitely my favorite in the series and THE best game I’ve ever played.

    so wait, if I get a PS3 I can play SOTN?? Might be a good reason to finally get a ps3..

    Yup. The Playstation Network is like Xbox Marketplace except the former allows you to play some games on your PSP (especially PSOne games). However, your PSP must be the new 2000 model (i.e. PSP Slim). Then, simply, hook them up via USP cable and you’re all done.

    Either that, or you can buy Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles, finish it, and then unlock the new modified Symphony of the Night (it has a better voice overs and the opportunity to play as Maria, a privilege that only Sega Saturn gamers could enjoy).

    Or finally, you can hack your PSP and download any PSP game, if you have the patience and enough space on your Memory Stick that is.
