Xbox Live
I got an Xbox 360 last week and a few minutes ago I just finished playing Pro Evolution Soccer with some guy in Ecuador. It was my first time playing on Xbox Live and it was pretty cool talking and playing with someone who was all the way across the world. I thought it wasn’t possible to play online because of lag but I am on a 512KB Qualitynet connection and I didn’t have any problems.

sometimes you get lag sometimes you dont. best thing is to play against someone who is in the middle east. Almost a guarantee No Lag.

man u should play a game where u need to cooperate, its so much funner, something like GoW, playing as a team and strategizing is the best part for me..damn i miss it..beware of the three red lights..they got me!

I agree with mutmut, beware of the red circle of doom. Don’t leave your xbox on for a day on pause thinking “haa..me so kewl”.
Anyway, you’ll be destroyed in Gears Of War. It’s full of pros, so don’t bother.

Gotta start somewhere! GoW is sick, and yes its full of pros but you do get better!

I don’t know how they do it but playing online on the 360 is not like the PC. You can play with lag and have no problems. Don’t know how it really works.

two questions Mark:
you were using the whole connection speed for the game, right? i mean no downloads not torrents working alongside the game?
and second: isn’t this like WOWC which will lead you to addiction? i’m worried about you man. LoL :)
16. Mark | April 7th, 2007 at 4:12 pm
1) yeah no one was using or downloading anything off the connection. it was just gmail open on my laptop and me on xbox live.
2) its not THAT addictive. But it is cool. I played some Project Gotham online and that was fun. was racing with 3 other people, don’t know where they were from but they were talking french so they could have been in France.

Hey, in a follow up to the questions about availability to xbox live in kuwait I have a few questions and any response would help me to a great extent!
1) is it possible to access xbox live in kuwait
2) if so, can you play people in,for example, England.
I ask this because (this is a long story) it has recently been my birthday and I received an xbox 360 elite, with wireless adaptor and 12 month xbox live membership. I am currently living in the UK, however, as of August 24th I will be moving to Kuwait, in an area which I receive DSL internet (Is that a fast connection), and I essentially bought the console so I could keep in touch with my friends in the UK once living in Kuwait through xbox live, and I was wondering if it is possible to access live in kuwait.
Sorry for the long text, I just thought I should be detailed.
Thanks to anyone who can find a solution to my question!

Hi James, I’ve only had my xbox a month but have been able to access xbox live on the silver membership on a fairly weak wireless connection. I am planning to buy a Gold subsciption when I return to the UK because i don’t foresee any problems. BTW my gamertag is gt11uk for when you come over here, Gary.

from what i was told by the guy who installed my internet, quality net(kuwait’s internet watch dog) banned xbox live and playstation online, due to content that can be view, yeah it sucks, i only got this damn dsl to play and now i can’t, and this was recent because i use to play online, but i stoped for about 8 months. i hate living here

Hey, um actually I am on xbox live as I am writing this lol, so it does work. I think it depends on your internet provider. And everyone at school manages 2 connect 2 PSN and XBL anyways

it’s possible to enjoy xbox live to it’s full extent in kuwait, so don’t worry about it.. the only issue you might find is with some downloadable content, where it is restricted to certain regions in the world, but you can easily bypass that via VPN, other than that, you’re fine.
