No Terror Commercial
I was eager to watch this commercial when I first heard about it since it was a collaboration effort between a Lebanese and US production house. Now that the commercial is out I have to say its a pretty shitty commercial. Its like a cheap version of the Swordfish 360 degree explosion scene. [Video]

Leave the cheep outdated effect aside for now..
If your message is to stop terrorism and violence, then why do you show it?
As a matter of fact this ad is making the terrorist look cool :).. even the explosion makes you think “wow.. this is cool.. I wish I was there.. it’s just like the movies!”
Modern psychologists talk about something called the law of attraction. This law talk about how you get what you think about.. so by showing terrorism in this negative way you attract terrorism and terrorist thoughts.
Your message should be positive; you should be showing live without terrorism to the people if you want to stop terrorism. The same thing applies to everything else.. drugs, crime.. etc

Looks like someone had been watching the opening scene from Swordfish.
Terrorism is getting tiresome to hear about, look at, or live amongst.

this one’s kinda old, but when I watch it I always think - yes, that’s exactly what should happen.

While I agree Terrorism is bad, people need to see both side of it, while suicide bombing is wrong, F-16 bombs are as bad if not worse.
Peace

Lol Lexicon, saw that in class :)
I may be wrong but I think that the point of the commercial is to disconnect suicide bombing from Islam.
I think they should’ve chosen a homely looking dude to play the bomber because this guy looks kinda hot : P

I really dont think its showing the right message out there..Plus, I think they should say “Terror has no religion or origin” and STOP showing middle-eastern ppl whenever they mention “Terror”..

we’ve been seeing the add alot on tv these days… and everytime i have to close the eyes of the children around me if am not able to change the channel :/ its aired while kids are watching .. No good … the point is .. whats the point of showing this add, its too movieish and its like showing off the 360 degree camera .. its a cheap imitation .. and yes i agree with moayad they’re showing it to be somewhat cool .. it could have been MUCH better done in another way .. and again showing middleeasterns in the add like cuteberry said is not saying that it has no religion .. efff i haven’t seen adds good about antiterrorism ..

Maybe we’ve finally found the real difference between the west and the middle east.
An ad of this nature would NEVER be broadcast on national television in the west. It further promotes the world’s view that the middle east loves anything to do with blowing stuff up.
Hard to be sympathetic.
