The worst locally produced short movies ever
These two movies seriously are the worst two movies I have ever seen. The first one is called Friend 3 Deaf Pistol and the second one is called Sandaweecha. You need to watch the movies in a large group to really enjoy them. Both were “Made in Kuwait”.

the first film is fucked up, the subtittles are the best thing in it…..!!!
and I’ll be glad to tell Faisal his movie is the worst local short….!!!

I didn’t watch the first one yet, but for the second one, the script was kind of good and smart. The editing and sound were neat too. Can’t say much on acting though, it sucked but nothing major, not porn-movie bad, but not Mary Louise-Parker good either.
I’ll watch the first one now

OK I just wasted 5:48 mins of my life. If anybody out there saw it, please please tell me ONE thing that was good about it.
The only thing I understood from it was that at least two of them were deaf.
Another thing, WHY did they make this movie?!

I liked the second one, the editing and the acting was pretty decent, but spoiled by the weak plot.

With the scores you give for your movie reviews, and reviews such as:
Serenity
Expected it to be way better. Didn’t like the actors, they felt very B rated. Movie started off slow but got better near the end.
Score: 2.5
it’s fairly clear that reviewing movies and appreciating movies for what they are is not your best area of expertise. Stay with the burgers ;)

Hey Mark don’t get me in the middle of this. I never said I liked the movie, I was just being honest and last I checked it wasn’t a crime these days.
I’m not going to mention the first one. The second one was a good try at a movie, it being local and all that. Thats all there is to it, its a good try, nothing more nothing less. What Intregued me was such writing coming from Kuwait which I am not used to.

You didn’t get what I meant. Let me ask you a question. Would you compare a high school essay assignment where a student gets an B- in to some written by Rudyard Kipling for example?
Those two are not in the same league. That is why when you judge something it should be for what it is and keep in mind the level of which it was made in. This is not a Hollywood movie where they have access to A-list professional actors and crew. Its simple and very low budget from what I saw.
Let me ask you another thing. Of those two movies, which one is better and why? You’ll know what I mean if you do that.

i know both the person who made the movie and the actors in it…
the person who made it is supposed to be one of the best in kuwait, and your comparison makes now sense. Compare within kuwait, compared to the other videos we have seen. I too feel that i am obliged to my opinion, and this is it. The videoing was simple, i know it was one of the first the director made, so fine. The actors just are down-right horrible, with the exception of the guy who didnt speak(fahad) who actually was ok. they hardly acted, its how they are in real life.
Now if you are gonna sit there and argue with me over what i feel is in my best opinion and honest one, with what i know of the actual facts, then go fiddle with something

at least they’re keepin themselves occupied, a few bad attempts will eventually turn into something good. can’t really call em movies tho.. but just like uturn, most comments are a waste of time with nothing productive in em, two lines of “it sucks ass” and “that’s horrible” really just takes up space..

I found the second one entertaining… Maybe cause its really late and I’m hungry… But compared to other youtube vids out there, this one made me laugh

I could see where the second movie’s coming from… it could’ve worked much better in its attempts at satirically portraying the overinflated Kuwaiti male’s ego, and the lengths they’ll go to protect it.
At least, I hope that’s what they were trying to do, because, otherwise… I fear for our dwindling intelligence.
