ZWAN Commercial

ZWAN

This TV commercial is currently one of my favorites. I love the music, the colors, the mood, the story.. I think its just fucking amazing. ZWAN is a food brand if you didn’t know that already. This commercial was created by JWT in Beirut and produced by City Films also in Lebanon. [Video]

In an artist way that was pretty damn good, but as a commercial I wouldnt know what the product was.

well you have the hotdog throughout the commercial, and the story is based around it practically. plus zwan is very popular in lebanon so with the logo in the end thats enough..

I must say that this is a giant leap from the ads they had on billboards, these were pretty sick and meaningless. i could take a snap and send it somewhere incase you are interested.

i like it. its sentimental. i think the war generation can relate to it a lot more… i believe they are the people who ate zwan the most! i see the movie zozo in it. :D

This should be a great short movie. but not a commerial. commaricals should be short and straight to the point. to make this ad appealing .. they should divide it into parts.. and play a 20 to 30 sec each time. till people get used to it and they play the conclusion part. . I think that this is the best way to actually play this ad. otherwise its a good short movie..

I thought it wasnt all that at all. The photography was good, the film used was good, the post production was good, but the actual storyboard and message was both weak and lacking in substance.

It took you through alot of bullshit just to show that the kid grew up and still eats “zwan” whatever that is…

I agree with G funk, however i would add the word “poop” to the description :)

Very much aimed at the Lebanese consumer. As if they need the extra sorrow in their lives.

Zwanenberg Food is a Dutch Company, that exports and specialises in producing halal products using certified halal raw materials. As for the Ad I never saw a Zwan Hod Dog Stand in my life in Beirut, for obvious reasons we are not a Hot Dog consuming Society. The moral of this short depressing film I guess is Hot Dogs bring people together, ain’t that true… :)

Exactly Rampurple, i saw zozo all throughout the whole “short movie” .
As for the Zwan Billboards Mark sorry i could not snap any, seems they took them off, but to give you a hint, there were a girl and a guy, the girl had a picture of the vegetable “Koussa” on her white t-shirt, and the guy had a picture of that tool they use to pluck koussa on his t-shirt, very distateful and meaningless.

That’s a cack ‘commercial’….I thought that some one was going to get killed or something. Artistic yes….but as an advertisment selling a product it was …well…..shit.

who said they were trying to sell a product?
