Flex for Women

flex

Tonight I went with a coworker of mine to check out Flex since it was about time I joined a gym. I’ve been to Flex before but not since they’ve expanded the place and I must say I’m really impressed.

The place is a lot bigger now and wayyyy cooler. They added a second swimming pool with ideal water temperature for serious hardcore swimmers, they also now have at least 90 cardio machines. They also have a bigger variety of classes as well. There is a room called the de-stress room with a couple of punching bags and god knows what else specially for people such as myself who need to release some stress. They even have squash courts, a running track and a basketball court. Finally they now have yoga, pilates, tai chi, martial arts and Karate classes.

Basically they’re everything I need from a gym right now and I can’t wait to join them next month. Their prices are slightly higher now since they’ve expanded but they’re still fairly good for the one year membership.

Here are the prices:
-Day Pass: KD 15
-1 Week: KD 75
-1 Month: KD 150
-3 Months: KD 300
-6 Months: KD 450
-1 Year: KD 600

For more information you can check out their website but the prices listed there are the old ones still. [Link]

Are they hiring a Japanese sensei to teach Karate or an actual Indian guru for yoga? It’s quite expensive if they aren’t.

    Hi there,
Really I like the way you express and describe your impressing in your blog.

Felx is not only a gym, it looks like a resort, really nice place ..

But what is more nicer is the (Flex For Family) from the same company, which is in the same street .. It is the place that where you can enjoy with your kids together in unlimited activities (if you have kids :p), especially the biggest climbing wall in Kuwait which is the most preferable for my son “my kids (4yrs & 3yrs) joined the winter camp in the last Eid holiday” :)

I recommend you to take a look there.. and iam sure that your good expressing pen will lead you to write the next topic about it ;p

I was a 1-man IT team for Flex Resorts and Real Estate (the parent company) for a while and interacted with the trainers in Flex Women on-and-off. Most of them were a pretty cool bunch. Especially the masseurs =)

Are there any pics of the Flex Women extension? I’d be interested in seeing that because when I was last there we were trying to get a system to manage sales for the newly built ‘Pace e Luce’ beauty care. I wonder if that took off…

last time i checked, it was 600KD/year per person at SAS health club.

SAS is like 1000x better and nicer atmosphere than flex. you get nautilus machines (the best) and a private beach with a mostly expat clientel.

it’s also mixed so your buttertroll hubby can join later when he stops thinking great steak is healthy food.

Decent gyms are in general quite expensive here in Kuwait, way more expensive than Lebanon anyway.

Nael I don’t know who will be teaching yoga or karate but as long as they’re good i dont really care what their nationality is..

S go check it out, take a tour u wont regret it, i will be posting a review after I join..

Dogbert i don’t think they have pics of their new extention up on the website yet since it’s not 100% finished yet.

Mar there’s a crappy gym in my building that charges 40 kd per month but i wouldnt go there even if they paid me. Holiday Inn was 250 kd a year but totally not worth it. So after i’ve been looking for a good and fairly priced gym for 2 years now i gotta say 600 kd is still cheaper than other places here and pretty reasonable for what they offer in return.

Holla im trying to stay away from hotel gyms, plus i heard that the the SAS gym was small. And the main reason i chose flex is that it’s also pretty close from my house.

I know there are very good fitness trainers and a good team who really help you. One of my friends told me is the best gym club for women. She really spent lot of time there and she looks great after few months, shes’s in a very good shape. Efficient. The price… hmmm … Noblesse oblige :)

Flex is a good gym for women and the price is reasonable for the kind of sevice and facilities they offer. Me and my friend joined recently. I have enjoyed the workouts at flex and benefited myself. If you are looking for yoga, perhaps ‘ayurmana’ is the best choice. I have done yoga at the sas hotel, hilton resort and with private teachers too. But the trainer at ayurmana, ambily was by far the best. And regarding karate and martial arts, I am not yet inclined to risk my bones.
