I Want Larry!!!
Today Mark called up a guy who had pure bred German shepherds. The German shepherd was recently brought to Kuwait from Germany, the guy even had a copy of the dog’s family tree. The Price the guy had originally paid for it was 800KD, a bit out of our budget for me and mark.. After a brief discussion on the phone we decided to go meet the guy and see what the dog was all about.
The dog turned out to be exactly what me and Mark had been looking for. it was quite big, with long beautiful fur, very energetic and playful, extremely friendly and just fucking amazing!!
The dog we saw was called Ben and was almost 2 years old. The guy showed us another picture of an 11 year month old German shepherd called Larry who was supposed to be very similar to Ben in temper and behavior except that it was even more good looking. I fell in love instantly. I’ve been looking for a dog for a long time and I’ve been more than patient but I’ve waited enough and i finally found what I had been looking for.
The only problem is that the guys wants 1050KD for it to also cover the fees for training school.
Mark still wants to look elsewhere to eliminate any other options before making his decision. I’ve already made up my mind. I just want THIS dog ASAP.

Wouldn’t you rather get 10 iPod videos instead of the shuffle with that money? :)

You could do alot more with thay money. A dog will eventually die after about 10 years, but with 1050KD you could buy a nice plasma screen, or get a kick-ass HDTV tv, which will last longer and benefit both of you more in the long run that a purchase which would die, leaving you with lots of grief. Also constant upkeep costs like food, doggy litter, and since when in Islam can you keep a dog inside the house? Unless you’re not muslims I apologize. Real expensive in the longrun compared to certain electronic appliances.

Do you guys insist on like a pure bred dog? Why not just pick up a dog for free from a shelter, or better yet, rescue one yourselves from the animal market on fridays.
Also, wouldn’t it be kind hot for a dog with long fur in Kuwait? And these big dogs require a lot of excercise, so would it be happy in an appartment?
And you say he’s already 11 years old. How long do dogs live anyway? Not much longer than that…
On a more encouraging note, some of the dog trainers in Kuwait are Hungarian. They work on some special dog training farm. Just FYI :o)

LOl sorry typo mistake the dog is just 11 months old:)
I’ve been wanting a dog since i was a little kid but my mum hated dogs so I could never have any.
No ipod or kick-ass HDTV tv could replace my urge to get a dog. It’s like always dreaming about and wanting a Lamborghini then one day realizing that I could actually get one.
We’re still considering other options besides the dog we saw but both me and mark want a big dog preferably a Belgium or German shepherd.

Well, don’t we all wish we had a Lambo. Sure we could get one, but we’d have to get a mortage which would cost us years to pay back. ;-)

Well I was just giving an example, this is not a Lambo after all it’s just a dog.. and I’d rather get my dog than an HDTV.

LCD/Plasma last about 60,000 video hours per day. Seeing how mark probably averages 7 hours a day, the screen will most likely die in 6 years. And even if it doesnt die .. you are probably going to be changing your tv 4 years from now. I don’t see Larry needing a upgrade anytime in the future.

I have a GS his name is Mec Von Billberg… Same breeder, he is amazing and worth every dollar we paid! Go for it! We bought him in June of 06 he is now 2.
