The Avenues Finally Open!
I just got off the phone with a friend of mine who’s a manager in Bershka, one of the many shops now open in the Avenues. He told me the avenues has officially opened today at 10am and that its amazing. The opening hours are from 10am till 10pm. I can’t wait to pass by tonight with Mark and finally check it out.

Hehe, finally, knew the opening was closer cause of those ads.
10 am to 10 pm , is that temporary? cause 10 pm is too early imo.
interesting.. i think i’ll stop by avenues tonight to check it out. hope it isn’t packed though
poor vampire …he have to wait till next week. i assume i will be going with him when he comes back :)

The Avenues – Kuwait’s largest mall now open!…
Just read on Mark and Nat’s blog that The Avenues is finally open. It is Kuwait’s largest mall and other than the brands expected, it is also going to have some new and popular ones.
It is situated right before the new IKEA on the 5th Ring …
i checked the pics, it seems GAP will have a shop in the mall, nice

Any new brands out there or its the same Al-Shaye3 Group stores in two story version?
It kinda looks like the bastard child of Wafi in Dubai and Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi…And that’s not a bad thing!
just got back..and yes its big and my feet hurt. they do have all the same stores we’re use to seeing plus a couple new ones. i went to see if gap was open, but it wasn’t..they said maybe another 3 weeks..also i didn’t see any signs for banana republic..but i did see that forever 21 will be opening..so thats pretty cool. The new Zara store is pretty nice (was never really a fan before), i picked up a few things for my daughter.. Oh and the Vavavoom store carries georgio armani cosmetics which is cool..it will be nice when all the stores open..happy shopping..
My big concern is the kind of “people” who will be cruising specially when it’s located on the 5th Ring …. 3aqaaaaaaaad + 9alaaab all the way … Allah yaster! :(
I just hope that the people that go won’t ruin the place just by hanging out there and causing a rukus!
wow! im just happy to hear that its’s finally open! but im so envious with you guys?.! im not in k8 we transfered to bahrain. i miss sultan center,ikea,ace hardware,marina mall,true value,city center,tgi fridays,bredz,nino and friday market. we always read mark and nat’s blog it give us new info about k8.thank you
how does k8 supposed to sound like kuwait?
Wait until The Lakes opens next year, you will be really amazed. It will be next to the avenues.
I don’t care what the retail tenant mix is going to be like as long as I am able to brisk walk inside the mall my daily quota of 2.5 kms even on a hot summer’s day.
Space is the true USP of the Avenues.
