Dark City

Mark was working late at the office tonight when suddenly the power in the building went off and he eventually left work. He just called me back again now and it seem that half of the power in Kuwait City is off!! Pretty weird…

I passed by there just an hour ago and saw that it was dark. I didn’t think much of it since I thought people closed up for the game.

yeah, it’s very unusual.. in kuwait, when i lived there, the longest time electricity got off was around 2 hours in hawalli.. they were fixing some power points by digging the ground..!

What I heard from a friend who has travel agency on fahad al-salem street, is that there was a shock through the system so bad that it blew all the electrocal Boards inside every building on Fahad Al-Salem Street, and he was on the phone with the maintenance guys even at 10pm at night, because they said they cant replace some of these boards until 8 am this morning because they have to get in contact with the Ministry of Eletricity and Water! This is going to be an interesting day or a really hot day for the people stuck at work with no electricity!

Remember when something happend with the power station up on Kuwait bay, someone had hit the wrong switch or something and thn they had to restart it, so the whole of kuwait had no power for about 6 hours odd. heh, damn kuwait

The same thing happened to me. I was in the office till 830pm last night after a complete blackout. All of Salhiya went dark. I have never seen so many upscale shops empty so quickly! Mark, where are your offices?
