Drivers’ License
Now that I’ve finally made up my mind on which car I wanted to get Im working on getting my drivers’ license which, it seems, is a much bigger hassel than I thought it would be. I went three days ago to the place where I was supposed to present my application and they told me I needed the approval of the superior manager of traffic in kuwait which was located in shweikh. Turns out there’s this new law, like a year old or so, which certifies that applying for a driver’s license requires a 2 years residency in kuwait at least. 2 fucking years!!! But there were always exceptions made for doctors or engineers or people with high salaries.. So then I went to the headquarters in Shweikh and they told me to come on saturday (which happens to be today) around 5pm to meet the guy in charge and get a “special” paper from him that would allow me to do my test and get my freakin license.. The guys there told me not to worry though and that everything should work out fine for me. In case it doesnt work out though, Mark got me a backup wasta that should grant me the license in a short period of time. On the other hand we will be signing the papers for the car today!! So starting today the car will be officially MINE, ALL MINE, (hint for Mark) hehe.
