Flex Health Club So Far

It’s been a week since I signed up and started going to Flex and so far it’s been great, painfully great. Before I came to Kuwait I was going to the gym 5 times a week and I was pretty fit but since I came here and started work I have turned into Mark, a couch potato.

The first day at the gym I got a health appraisal, I had to fast for 4 hours before so I could get my body fat percentage and body water percentage measured. Their physician then measured my height, weight and different body parts such as waist, chest, arms etc.. and then entered all the data into her computer. She then printed out a form with the calculated data that gave me my fat percentage and what my ideal should be, it also gave me my water percentage and my ideal weight. This exam is going to be repeated every month throughout the membership to monitor any improvments in my bodies shape and health.

I then took my results and went and met one of the trainers who then gave me a fitness program since I didnt need a weight loss one. After all that started the fun. I now have to try going to the gym 5 times a week to attend all the classes required for my program. I’m very excited about it and I am planning to stick to the plan. Flex has been pretty cool so far. They now have about 90 cardio machines all equipped with remote controls and TVs. They also now have a second larger swimming pool for swimming while the older one is for water aerobics. They have even added a small resto-bar with healthy salades and sandwiches which sell for pretty cheap. Finally they also have a new nail inhouse salon called Divas which i haven’t been to yet. For those of you who are serious about working out rather than going to the gym to socialize Flex I think is quite ideal.

    Nice! Its good that you are enjoying it! I need to start going to the gym again, but there is no way I could make it 5 times a week! Thats impossible!

    Which one are you going to .. on my way to souq sharq .. i usually pass by another flex gym .. in bnaid el gar ( i think !! ),. for ladies & kids .. so , is it that one or the old one in al She’eb .. ?

    My only exercise is walking from one class to the other in my high school. That’s about it.. free and not effective, pretty good, eh?

    i wish i could do 5 times a week

    i’m pretty proud of myself because i’m keeping up every friday at this point

    I do go to the gym 6 times a week, and if i missed one day, that would makes me feel bad
