Today is my first day at my new job. I don’t not have a vacant desk ready yet, the person I’m supposed to replace has his last day today. Good thing I brought my laptop with me. We have an internet issue in the office though. It seems that only a couple of computers are connected online for occasional use. Our macs do not have internet on them and this is due to a bad history in the office of employees abusing the internet and getting online to chat instead of finishing up their jobs.. However there’s a bright side to this issue. It’s seems that they have a a wireless network set up in the office. So I could either bring my laptop with me every-time and get on from there or I could just get a small more discreet device that will allow me to get on wirelessly. I used to have internet back at my old work place and we never had any problems there. I think getting online is vital for my job. For me It’s not a luxury , it’s a necessity since I’m always doing alot of research and stuff.

Besides that I haven’t been working for the past 10 days or so, so it’s kinda hard to get used to work and waking up early again. But it’s my first day and I’m pretty excited about it.
