Proud 2 be Kuwaiti in Pictures

I passed by the P2BK event tonight but it was super packed. I could barely walk through the crowd, as I told Mark, I felt I was at Avenues on a Friday night during a holiday! I said hi to a few friends but then I left, it was just too crowded. I took some pictures (click on continue below) but not much to see just people and more people jam packed into narrow passages between the booths.

so exactly what did people do when they visited that place? and what people were showing?

was there anything useful? as a young kuwaiti, will i see anything over there that would spark motivation in me to do anything better for my country? or is it just networking, meeting people, and eying each others?

  9. Thanks for your time and effort to post the info about p2bk…wishing you all the best.

  15. Huh says:

Happy because our bloody enemy gave us a day to celebrate our Failure!
They did break down the Orient Islamic Land (المشرق الإسلامي) into small pieces in 1916 agreement called “sykes pico”.
and now we call our self and write it everywhere [proud to be kwt, lebans, egypt, .....].
    I advice reading and educating.

  16. girl says:

more ppl participating this year,, not like last year ,,, last year waid kan a7san…..

  17. Nat says:

Yeah would have been far better if it was more spacious, i could barely see anything, but we definitely need more stuff like this in Kuwait. People are pretty desperate for anything. Marzouq wish you told me you were going, would have said hello:)

  18. TweeZ says:

    @ Huh

so what should we do? Feel miserable ?
    Where are you from anyways?

  19. Qaiss says:

To be proud of what exactly?

  20. Kharbota says:

  21. Realist says:

I got a headache so bad from the LOUD music that I had to leave !! Only to be stuck in the parking for a FULL HOUR !

  22. Kuwait Me says:

Ok it was crowded, but was there anything “positive” at the event? I might go today, it sounds interesting :)

  23. DaLLy says:

7 , Yes, projects and achievements,
don`t u think the projects like Atyab AlMarshood, Slider Station, Can and many other projects..! we cant be proud of ? if u dont . i did :)

  24. Jam3iiya(L) says:

Im glad its crowded. Thats a good thing, you may not like it, but overall it shows success, that Kuwaits are actually intrested with other Kuwaiti products. Im very proud of them.

  25. girl says:

    dally
if you dont ,,, I do not i did :)

  26. 7 says:

the name is so stupid like being a kuwaiti is an achievement itself so pathetic

  28. Marzouq says:

Hey Nat! Didn’t know you were going! I didn’t know I was going until literally the last minute!

I honestly think a lot of people enjoyed it!

  29. interrupt says:

i’m starting to get worried about armani exchanger. it’s been 2 days since this post and he still didn’t comment.

  30. TweeZ says:

    @ 7

why are you being a hater, man?

  31. BT says:

    @ 7

I always wanted to start a project, even remotely close to what they have but i was too busy, or not enough resources…but when i see someone actually doing it I don’t hate i get encouraged

  32. 7 says:

i dont care about their uninspiring projects the name is whats bothering me i hate it when we get too proud like this it feels kinda gay to me

  33. Proud 2 B Gay says:

Kudos to the team marketing the ” Proud to be Kuwaiti concept”. You guys ought to commemorate this special event through the launch of a P2BK postage stamp to mark this occasion.

  34. 22` says:

worst show ever .. i wish they can hire someone to manage it more properly … it was HOT inside

  35. pendolino says:

    * great concept that seems to be picking up more in its second year hence the increased demand.
    * im not sure if the economic woes facing kuwait and the world will dent interest in the next event but small business is the way almost any successful business starts. this should be encouraged.
    * unfortunately, most of these people have not been to the labor dept when they need to hire and grow their business and i’m afraid they will be demoralized and give up. that’s reality in this town but who dares wins. sometimes. (and i dont think they will find enough other kuwaitis to hire)
    * there was a lot of potential shown at the event and i hope/think its only the beginning.
    * organizers need to avoid what happened this year and move to a bigger space or reduce the number of exhibitors.

  36. aishah says:

This is a very good event it inspires alot of young kuwaitis to actually be proud of something they are doing today!
As 7 said(nat that im agreeing with all that hes saying !!) Kuwaitis are always too proud of themselves and for what??? these are good accomplishments and i support them as a kuwaiti myself, bas likwaitiyeen a8labhom shayfeen 7alhom o kwaity o kwaity o ohma laymathloon deerathom 3adil walla thafaw shay lil mojtama3 to actually be proud of bas mifta5reen bil ajdad o mga3ideen ib mokanhom thinking that thats enough?!?!
like the phrase in the Miami o bashar song “In riba7 wila 5asar, Yakfi amjada fa5ar…” sorry to break it to all you kuwaitis out there bas mayakfi!!!!!
