Tanning

Last week I went to Lebanon for a 4 days break. I managed to go to the beach a couple of times since the weather was perfect and I got a nice tan. However, being back in Kuwait now with temperatures hovering mostly above 40c degrees throughout the day, I realized that I wont be going to the beach here this summer just like last summer. My next trip to Lebanon will be in July and I need a solution for tanning till then. Now I dont like self-tanning sprays so my next thought is going to a solarium. Sadly I do not know any places/salons in Kuwait that have sunbeds in their facilities. Does anyone know of a good salon preferably in Salmiya area that would offer tanning services?

Elysium spa near sharq mall must be a good bet, if anywhere? but what is it with that place… no-one ever goes in, and no-one ever comes out - be careful ;-)

The thing is I want a good place but I don’t want a place that would rip me off as well.. I don’t know if this is relevant but I have a friend that goes to the hairdressed in Elysium and man they charge her ALOT. I guess I could give them a call and check about the sunbeds though, Thanks tim:)

    Dear Nat

Getting a tan is nice, though it’s temporary, but have,’t you thought about the consequences, you know, the premature aging of the skin, or skin cancer?

    just accept you color

    regards,,

if buildings don’t block ur window .. then put a chair infront of it , wait till the sun hits that spot and voila sit relax have a lemonade, watch tv and get a tan…

Oh and Lamya … tanning leads to skin regeneration not skin decay …… so it actually benefits the skin more than it harms it .. read the med journals girl.

Fractal I dont even have a decent balcony to tan on. But anyway how does that solve the heat issue!!
Hilton is too far for me.. Elysium sounds like a better option. Thanks for ur suggestions:) All i need now is another option in Salmiya.

If you go swimming in Kuwait after 3:00 pm then you’ll get the best tan…so why do you need a sunbed..natural sun is better than the ultra violet stuff they use…

“tanning bed” + “Kuwait” in google, gives Holiday Inn Salmiya. I called them, they don’t. So no need to waste time calling. I used their gym, so should’ve known they’re tooooo crappy to have sunbeds.;-)

Yeap Carlsb3rg .. offcourse in the right time of the day, ma Nat you would be infront of the window, but still inside the house …. a friend of mine does that and she has a nice tan btw …
But also like MissCosmo said, if you swim here after 3:00 (the heat is less) u will get a perfect tan.

Mark: if you find a place like that for guys tell me … i am uber ubder white ….

Hey Nat! I had the same problem when I first came back from the UK - because it was so cold there - I was always going on sun beds.. so I came here and attacked the Yellow Pages calling ppl asking them if they had sunbeds - I got many comments from them incenuating that I am crazy!! I eventually found out that Jacque Dessange do 25 minutes for 25KD - not bad…

  18. 18. Nat | May 22nd, 2006 at 9:40 am

Wow 25 kd for 25 is pretty expensive, compared to the prices in lebanon anyway… In lebanon it’s about 10kd for 30 min.. There are probably decent places cheaper than jacques dessange though..

I’m in dire need of a bit of sun - mostly to get my spirits up. Any new tanning bed suggestions?

    Dear Tan ,
When you go to Elysium , I advice you to ask about the Body-Detoxification Tecnology , this is the last medical device in the world , which is able to remove all the toxins from your body only in 5 sessions .

All what you have to do is to put your feet in the water and it will remove all the toxins through the sole of your feet .

I tried it in WEDI-Dubai last summer , and i was surprised when i heard that the Elysium in Kuwait has the same medical device !!

    Lost ,

Uff!! I have the same problem. Only time i got a good tan in kuwait was in march of 07, i was camping with friends in the middle of nowhere for 2 days, so i had nothing to do
tanning in kuwait sucks anyway, took me 7 hrs to get a half decent tan xD

But yea.. the elysium suck. they thought i was 21yrs old when im only 14 -__- But yea.. their gym sucks too 500kd for nothing

id suggest the palms hotel or w/e, all my friends go there but its mixed and stuff so =/ bleh.. email me if you find a place -__-

Soon..I will open a salon but it will have a spray on tanning.. like Hollywood Tan if you know it.. i did not choose the beds.. because the UV light after a while has it’s up’s and down’s.. and i am not willing to like my customers leave my salon not satisfied..
email me if u would like to know more info
