Sexiest Starbucks in the world?
I just got the following SMS from my sister who I’m guessing is inside Avenues:
Avenues has what is acclaimed to be the sexiest Starbucks in the world. Even the name and logo are in silver, not green. The walls are also dark gray granite.
Sounds cool. I am going to google now and see if there is anything like this anywhere else in the world. Avenues is still not open to the public.

I tried googling and I couldnt find any info on these “sexy” starbucks. I found info on sexy starbucks employees but nothing on the sexy stores. Do you know what these stores are called?

i don’t think they have a name. they just jazzed up their designs to be up-to-date.
Most of the US franchises do that. Chili’s, Pizza Hut, McDo.. they all rebrand after a certain number of years; just like with the logos

The only starbucks we have in egypt is like that too , except for the silver logo , but the whole thing is quite cool.

Actually… they have this “sexy” starbucks around 60 m away from a regular starbucks so it’s not a rebrand thing. It’s just that one starbucks is close to classier places such as Lorenzia (same owners as Lorenzo) while the other is next to H&M.

they can rebrand or use different designs out of the worldwide approved designs (fit out, layout, size…)

I’m really not much of a mall-y person..
Where exactly is the avenues thingy? Or did you guys just translate an Arabic name of a mall to English to be cool and make me look retarded?

Thats pretty interesting that they are coming up with something different. Pretty cool, a different concept.
I wonder who does their ads for them!

the mall is located on the 5th ring road. if you’re heading from salmiya to jahra, the mall is right after the ghazali bridge. Ikea is open to the public already and the mall should open in 2 weeks but it has not been confirmed yet.

i suppose they have to continue to re-invent themselves… at least until clueless customers FINALLY realise that the taste of Stabucks coffee is one of the worst in any chain in the world. It’s always too strong, too bitter… nothing compared to Lavazza, Illy (at Haagen Dazs in Kuwait), and even Costa!!!

It may not be great, but at least it’s consistently mediocre!
