iPhone and Zain make friends

iphone loves zain

According to a few readers and a post by K.thekuwaiti, Zain has acknowledged the issue with the iPhone and is trying to fix it. One comment on K’s blog even states the iPhone should be working with Zain by 3PM today. If thats true it would be perfect timing since Nat should be collecting her iPhone today from U Shop We Ship.

Update: It is now confirmed, as of 3PM today the iPhone started working with the Zain network. Thank you to everyone at Zain who helped out in updating the network to support unlocked iPhones.

i personaly think that Apple released the Unlock software .. ;)
(without anyone knowing about it ofcourse!)
it has already collected it’s money from AT&T and helped AT&T re-launch .. people we unlocking it physicaly anyway and will contiue to try to unlock it all over the world .. so why not sell my iphnes .. sign with international telecom companies anyway! and still sell more iphones.. so that by te end of the year .. they will release a nw product in the US and the iphone will get shipped internationlly to the people who signed .. and if they refuse to sign .. then apple wont ship the iphone out to anyone … and people will stil be buying from apple.com and Vodafone or orange will not get the nice fat distributor discounts on the iphones if they were to sign up to be re-sellers :)
    just a thought ..

  25. 26. Damon Dash | September 21st, 2007 at 4:26 am

i love how zain updated there network just because the problem was mentioned here “because you ordered one and wanted it to work with zain , that’s power for ya! , I’m not hating mark you deserved it you worked hard on this blog and you deserve all the power you generate from it “not to mentioned the money” LOL
again I’m not hating only congratiolating

  26. 27. Mark | September 21st, 2007 at 9:25 am

Damon I doubt this blog had anything to do with it. What most likely happened is a bunch of guys who work at Zain ordered iPhones and when it wouldn’t work with their own network they went ahead and fixed it.

  27. 28. Marzouq | September 21st, 2007 at 10:11 am

    M.u.D.1./.2

i dont think so. those ppl are crazy and they have a strategy.

look at the 100 $ rebate they gave to customers. i can assure you that this chinese made iphone, designed in califorina woudlent cross 100$ as its real price.

  33. 34. Holla | September 21st, 2007 at 5:17 pm

there are 2 independent arab programmers working to arabise the iphone. so far they got it working but it’s not cursive most of the time, they will have a full download soon.

I imagine that when the iphoen releases internationally it will come with arabic support since all phones do. it doesn’t now bc it’s not even supposed to work outside the US.

  34. 35. SWOS | September 21st, 2007 at 6:37 pm

Arabic will screw up the iPhone..

  35. 36. twaif | September 21st, 2007 at 7:31 pm
