How to make my favorite Ramadan dessert

Chocolate Crescent

Here are instructions on how to make my favorite Ramadan dessert, I call it Chocolate Crescents.

1- you need a jar of nutella and a packet of Katayef. I don’t know what Katayef is in English but you can find them at Sultan Center

2- you take an Katayef and you spread chocolate on the back side and then you fold it in half and squeeze the two edges together

3- there is no step three, you are done

you do realize you’re supposed to cook the katayef dont you? like fry or bake or something, otherwise its just a piece of sticky dough…

fry it! or at least bake it.

Well I played around with something similiar to that.

There’s this ready-made dough you get here in the supermarket. Basically, you just put the nutella inside the dough, roll it like a croissant, pop it in the oven, and wait.

It’s really good. I’m sure they have read-made i.e. made for men dough in Sultan Center…hehe :P~~

PPL ! Katayef are pre-cooked. They are basically small pancakes. It is ok not to fry them. It just tastes better if you did. In this case just buy the biquick pancake mix in a bottle. Takes a few seconds to do those pancakes and add nutella while on pan then fold.

A popular dessert/snack in southern Italy is crepes with Nutella – very similar to your concoction. Sometimes we have crepes with nutella for breakfast. Yum.

Mark, I am an admirer of your creativity. infact, I have made a bit of modification to your dessert that I highly suggest you try. Try Using ” KRAFT’s, Cool Whipp, Frozen status” on top of the Nutella Qatayef. OMG!! Awsome!! Remember that the cream must be out of the freezer to capture the distignuish taste.

mmm Kinder Crepes. There’s a place next to my university in Lebanon that does em’ pretty good.

Also another good snack, Chocolate (Nutella) + Cheese in a crepe. Melted obviously. Tastes REALLY good.
