Mark .. just came from Egypt today, was there for a conference.
Ok .. you should go to the national musium next to Sheraton Aljizeera. You will see the real mummys there.
You should also see Madinat Nasr .. Its just the city that never sleeps. I stayed at City Star Holiday Inn hotel. Its a massive chain of hotels, huge mall with very familiar restaurants ((by the way always eat from names you know)). Also you should go to Khan Al Khaleeli which you will see why you should visit when you go there.
Egypt is famous with books .. if you are interested in reading Arabic novels and all banned books you go to Nos Al Balad to Madbooly booksstore, amazing place to find all what you want.

Mark go to ‘Mothaf al Tahreer’ you will see the real mummies held in a complete vaccum. In fact I beleve the whole Ramsisfamily co-exist in a seperate royal room, its a must see. Been there once 7 years ago, and I still see it as real till today.
